Over the weekend Josh and I planned to vacation at our cabin with my parents. We intended to leave Thursday night, but those plans were postponed due to the flooding. After many dead ends/closed roads and detours we FINALLY made it to our cabin around 6pm Friday. After being unsure if my car would make it up the mountain, we did finally arrive safely and spent time with my parents over dinner.
Many people discouraged us from traveling up north for the weekend, however, our time turned out to be so perfect! Saturday we had warm, beautiful, sunshine weather! My dad allowed us to practice shooting with his 380 and 22 handgun :)
I have to admit, although I have three brothers, I'm definitely not a natural sharpshooter, however, my mother hit the bulls eye more than once, and of course Josh was a natural!
After target practice, Josh and I took a ride on the four-wheelers!
For the sake of my boyfriends pride and male ego, I will spare the details of our slightly tramatic four-wheeling accident! I'll just let you know that we, and the four-wheeler are fine. I may however have a small trust issue with Joshua....just kidding! We were adventuers last weekend. Shooting handguns and riding atv's (for Josh) are somewhat new experiences for us! It was great taking a break from the city and spending time together in God's beautiful creation!
I'm looking forward to our next get-a-way...
