Have you ever questioned God's plans for you, or was tempted to "take things into your own hands?" This morning I was praying....ok,ok, more like throwing a pity party asking God "why, why, why?" But as I was complaining to God, I heard His sweet, patient voice say "When did it become all about you?" ......
Then I read this verse:
“Do what your king commands; you gave a sacred oath of obedience. Don’t worryingly second-guess your orders or try to back out when the task is unpleasant. You’re serving his pleasure, not yours. The king has the last word. Who dares say to him, ‘What are you doing?’ Carrying out orders won’t hurt you a bit; the wise person obeys promptly and accurately.” (Ecclesiastes 8:2-5, MSG)
Years ago I got a tattoo that says 'vida por vida' which means life for life. The Lord gently reminded me that I made a commitment to Him to live my life for Him and others rather than just for ME and myself.
I believe that to live a satisfying and successful life, we must learn to be obedient to God. Remember, God is faithful and trustworthy.
"For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans for welfare and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope."
When we choose to live our lives for God, we are choosing a life bigger than ourselves!
