Worship is the Key

A few years ago when I was in bible college, I had a dream that still impacts me today.

In the dream my classmates and I were at the school/youth building when a group of demons came in and stated that they were declaring war on us! In fear I ran back to everyone gathered in another room and told them what was happening. We quickly realized that we didn't have any weapons to fight with! So I relayed this to the demons at which they responded by pushing in a cart full of weapons which included mace, clubs, large tools with spikes; "you can use some of our weapons to fight this battle," they slyly stated.

For a moment I looked over the cart that held the weaponry. "We will never be able to use these, everything is too big and heavy. We will lose this battle." Hopeless for a moment, my classmates and I gathered and decided to pray to our heavenly Father. But in taking this step, something amazing began to happen!

We started with prayer, but as we sought the heart of God, our prayers turned into worship, as we developed a heart of worship, an out burst of praise came forth! So quickly we forgot about our enemies and all we could focus on was how amazing our God was! We started dancing and singing and laughing....complete focus on God, we did not even remember the war that was being raged against us!

The presence of God filled the room, our enemies fled the building in fear! But it did not end there. A wall in the building was covered with racks of magazines; pornographic, guns, violence, gossip...etc. Full of the presence of God, we all began to reach out our arms and hands toward the racks, and suddenly the content of the magazines began to change!! They were made new, holy and righteous!

In my dream I didn't quite understand what was happening but I knew it was amazing! Recently Holy Spirit has reminded me of this dream, spoke to me and said, "Worship is the key to freedom, victory and overcoming! In the presence of God everything has to flee or bow its knee in reverence! The presence of God changes things!"

In the battle of your life, just begin to worship and praise God, it will unlock your victory! Through Him we can be world changers, defeat our enemy and set captives free!
