Exploring

This weekend brought much needed relaxation.
Friday night I spent time with my best friend-my mother, we went shopping and out to eat before picking up my nephews to spend the night at my parents house. I have recently been reading about 3 books at once, a leadership training book, a book for twenty something age girls in life's transitions, and Good Morning Holy Spirit by Benny Hinn. However, we made a stop at the book store and I just couldn't resist! I bought about three more books and began reading Daring Chloe by Laura Walker. My first fiction book in a really long time and in just two days I'm about half way through the 350 paged book! (yes, I'm bragging because I feel proud of myself!)
.
Saturday I did both, relaxing and a little exploring. I had the pleasure of eating dinner with the Atanasio family! Then ran a few errands. I ventured into this new little store I discovered...only to find an environment that resembled an impoverished people or city. It's amazing how sometimes walking through an automatic door opener can instantly transport you to another world...honestly, it's moments such as those that makes me want to travel to other countries!
After my interesting experience, I stopped at rita's for the most delicious coconut cream rita's ice!!

As I was driving through the City of York, I fell in love all over again. As I always say, it must be because of God's grace. Ask anyone who is working here in York and they will tell you they came kicking and screaming!! But God has given us a heart and affection for our City. Let me share some of its beauty with you:

These are only a few pictures and most were taken of or near my apartment. Three of the above pictures are of Fluhrer building in which I live, it was built in 1911 and is still admired today! Many say there is a black cloud of evil covering our City, but even its evil cannot hid its beauty.

I had a wonderful time driving through the streets and watching the people...Everyday is an adventure living for Jesus Christ! :)
