I've been thinking about the role and the difference that the Holy Spirit has made in my life....
This week work has been so difficult. The gossip is out of control, it's stressful, full of drama, just exhausting. I'm trying to be salt and light (matt. 5) but some days it takes more strength than I have. There are two others in the office that profess to be Christians (besides my mom) but they too, so quickly fall into the deceptive trap of the hurtful gossip and drama. The atmosphere here at work is full of negativity! I so desperately want to be an atmosphere changer and allow God to use me to pour out His love.
Today I was given that opportunity. Sitting in the kitchen with two other older women, God used me to begin speaking truth and love, using words to destroy the strong holds of the enemy. It took conflict and honesty. I saw an instant look of respect upon their faces as they received the words spoken by the Holy Spirit!

The difference between saying you are a christian and Being a christian...is the power of the Holy Spirit! Life takes more strength than we have on our own; to be a 'Christ imitator' cannot be achieved by our own human abilities. We NEED the power and fire of God's Holy Spirit...yet so many christians and religious people deny his power. I'm convinced, that to live a life pleasing to God, we must be equipped with his special, secret weapon...Holy Ghost!!
