Right now in my life there are a few powerful statements I continue to ponder as I learn and grow with God; just thought I'd pass them along to you :)
"Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, declares the Lord! 'What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts of "Grace, grace to it!" Zechariah 4:6-7
God is teaching me that nothing can be accomplished by my own strength or plans, but not only is He able, he is also willing! So when you look at the mountain of circumstances in your life, know that God is by your side speaking to your mountain saying "Who are you!? you are about to become a plain!!"
With God, life holds its beauty regardless of its pain.
I continue to dwell on the stories of the ones that went before us:
Abraham and the faith he had to believe the promise of God, though he waited 40 years.
Esther, when proposed with a crossroad of life or death, she chose to trust God and placed her life on the line.
Job, life was not what he thought it'd be, but after suffering circumstances, he received more and better than he ever could have imagined!
In Hebrews 12 the author states, "Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses (those mentioned above) surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfected of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, SO THAT YOU WILL NOT GROW WEARY AND LOSE HEART."
Let us be encouraged today. If God is for us, who can be against us?!
Know who loves you, fights for you and believes in you. Knowing that, will make all the difference :)
