As you read the Gospels you will discover that Jesus was often moved by compassion for the people. Out of his love flowed healings, signs and wonders, words of correction and sound teaching. In Jesus' day there were no music ministries, healing ministries, special church services....you get my drift. He loved the people around him. He taught repentance and hope. He cared for the hurting and the lost.
You and I can do the same each and every day. We don't have to be a part of a large ministry or only pray for healing during a healing service, we can live a lifestyle of ministering regardless of our occupation.
So whether you're like me working in a office all week long or a stay at home mom or are retired, you can still have a ministry to the lost and hurting. Just choose each day to focus on others than just yourself, seize every opportunity to love on others, pray for them and always do your best to shine with the love of God...because it's the love of God that draws all men to repentance!
Has your life been a ministry to the lost and hurting? Take a look, they are all around you, waiting for you to extend a compassionate hand and lead them to Jesus!
