Harvest

Do you ever struggle with discontentment? I must confess it is something I fight against time and time again. I often desire for changes in my life and get a sense of hopelessness when I feel that circumstances are not going to change. However this morning as I was praying I felt reminded of Paul's words in Philippians 4 "Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."

I was sharing with the Lord my hearts desire to be used in a greater way for His kingdom, when suddenly He began speaking to me about the HARVEST all around me! I had a false mindset that said I needed to be elsewhere to build the Kingdom of God, however, He reminded me that there are so many people around me that need to know of his love and power, right now!

All around us there are fertile hearts ready to receive the Word of God, there are seeds in need of watering. It's time for us to get our hands dirty, and begin working our fields! Souls are waiting to be harvested, and God is waiting for us to do the work!

I pray that we would begin seeing other's possibilities and not their circumstances, hear their hearts cries and not just the words from their mouths. I pray for harvesters to arise that the Kingdom of God would be established here on earth and the kingdom of darkness destroyed!
