My weekend adventure began with a boat ride on a cloudy, yet beautiful day! To celebrate my Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary, my dad's side of the family gathered together. Despite the clouds my brother and I got a little sun burnt and a few unusual tan lines :(

Saturday morning we planned to walk to the market have breakfast and explore all the little shops around the city.....only to find out everything was closed for the holiday :( I was so disappointed, but we drove to a little bistro and sat in the sun! Later that day we went to my grandma's house (on my mom's side) for a family gathering. We played with the little kids, soaked up more sun, and Johnna kicked butt at a watermelon seed spitting contest!
That night we met with some friends, Tommy, Mo, Ben and Steph, Tim and Nichole, and others to watch the fireworks at the York Fair from the high school football field. It was fun!! Afterward a few of us went out to eat, then exhausted from a long day in the sun, Johnna and I headed back to my apartment ready to dream!
Sunday, after our interesting experience at church, we went to breakfast at a Greek restaurant in the city. Later we walked around beautiful York, Pennsylvania, taking in more sunshine, history, and interesting people. Then spent some time talking and relaxing in the apartment. We decided to indulge our sweet tooth so we walked down to the White Rose restaurant for drinks and desserts!

That night we were going to go to the old movie theater The Capital, but they are no longer showing movies till September :( So we stayed in and I cooked a pasta dinner and we watched a good chick flick!! A perfect night to end the perfect weekend!
